It's grilling season....

Well, actually I use my grill year round, but now that the heat is cranking up grilling season is now in full swing. Too dang hot to turn the oven on or use the stove if you don't have to. During the summer we tend to grill at least four nights a week.

Last nights meal - Chile Lime marinated Turkey breasts w/grilled veggies.

K, your manhood is at stake here... You now have a home, so you need a grill... We will be awaiting further updates on this matter...

Seriously. Just go get a Weber Kettle or something man. Hurry up. And dont tell anyone else about this.

I dunno if I'd use it enough to make getting one worthwhile. Maybe after I build my patio.... I'm thinking of just pulling up a huge chunk of yard, grabbing some cement and going to town. :embarrassed:

Nice. I love the veggies on the grill. Man was meant to cook with fire.

Grilled veggies are my absolute favorite way to cook vegetables. One of my families favorite side dishes - in a big bowl put a bunch of cherry tomatoes, asparagus chopped to about 1" length, some diced onions and diced peppers (bells or Anaheim) and toss with olive oil and course salt. Cook on the grill on a grill topper. For extra goodness throw some Cajun spiced shrimp on there for the last five minutes or so....

Making me very hungry.

Use it or not, there needs to be one at your house. The Weber Kettle is in the neighborhood of $60 or $70 and is an amazing charcoal grill. Get it before your man card is permanently revoked.

Grilling on the cement during this F-ing heat might work better than a grill.

I'll take the manhood hit and spend that cash on gear.

When I decided to go vegetarian about 5 weeks ago, I was worried that I would be retiring my grill. But on the contrary, I've been using it more since then than before.

Mushrooms, corn, zucchini, asparagus, various veggie burgers, egg plant, .... mmmm. Now I'm hungry.

I grill and smoke all year round. Did some dry aged ribeyes on the grill Monday night then threw on a chicken breast...I had the chicken for dinner tonight.

Weber kettles are awesome. Combined with some lump hardwood charcoal, a charcoal chimney & some BBQ starters, you can it fired up and ready to go before you're done preparing the food for the grill. Throw in the fact that you can do some serious smoking and you've got a total outdoor cooking solution on the cheap.

If you've never dry aged some beef in your fridge, you don't know what your missing!

That has Winsauce on it already. Grilled asparagus rocks, and tomatos are de riguer on my cooker.

Pitmaster Approved!!!

Sounds awesome. I've never grill squash - what kind of squash?

Usually yellow summer or zucchini. Chop off the ends and split' em. Eggplant is just wonderfull done on the grill too, same way. Smaller ones take much less time to cook but are more likely to fall apart if cooked too long. I like to give 'em a bath in olive oil, then sprinkle them with dry Good Season's mix after they are cooked. Here's some grilled zucc & tomatoes:
