Help! It was time... I had to do it... I got a bigger pedal board...

Here is the old setup:

Not bad but a little crowded and my size15 footed blind ass had a hard time stepping on them cleanly. Sooo even though I liked the relative portability, I decided it was time to go up in size…

The new one is on the top and the old one is on the bottom. Obviously. Here it is after getting everything wired up cleanly. I also put some high visibility gaffers tape on the edges so I can see the boundaries on a dark stage

now I don't have to be as choosy about what I put on there, and the way I've got them staggered means I'm less likely to step on two at the same time. It only weighs about 300 pounds which I guess is good!

I have made some alterations to the big board. Look, and understand: I replaced the Peacekeeper with the Tacit Blue, replaced the Deep Oggin with the 30ms, and added the dual
switch to control the Hydra.

The button on the tacit blue sits high enough that I can easily turn it on and off without accidentally triggering the dual switch. The deep oggin analog chorus sounded great, but there was some distortion in there like on a lot of analog choruses, and I like the cleaner sound of the 30MS better

I thought you would like to know!

You know, I did the same thing! I went from a Pedaltrain Classic 1 to a Holeyboard 123 set that I have extended to its fullest. I ran out of room with my last couple pedals, which were already pretty squeezed together, but now I have them comfortably spaced with room for a couple more if I get stupid.

@smurfco Do you dig that Dimension pedal? I have the TC that's based off the same thing... purple with four 70's style push buttons. :baimun:
I like it a lot - I went through a bunch of other choruses before I settled on this one. At first I was wary of only having those four presets but I haven't really found the need for more than that. I don't like that really wobbly seasick type of chorus and this one feels smoother / cleaner than that to me.

Now I don’t feel as bad about having two pedal boards (11 pedals between the two) setup for home use. It’s nice to have different options if you play for long stretches, usually I go for a couple of hours when I plug in at home.

I have no valid reason for owning 6 boards and over 80 pedals. I feel like I was exploring and got caught up in hoarding when I should have been flipping.

Now, I have a goal to sell most of it and pair it down. I’m planning to keep my favorites, sell everything else and add a few.

The funny thing is that there are entire categories of circuits I’ve not owned. For example, I’ve never owned a single Big Muff or derivative.

Mine has like 12 or 16 presets because you can press any one, odd, even, ends, middle, or whatever.
