Hot or Not? Ibanez Bob Weir

Call me crazy, but I kinda like it.

It pretty much reminds me of a Yamaha SG.

Wow... everything I hate about an SG and a Les Paul all wrapped up into one guitar without much of the little bits I do like of those guitars!

Hate the shape (particularly the upper horn), hate the top carve, the binding, moved the upper toggle into a worse place than the LP, hate the puzzle piece headstock.... I'll stop now. Glad someone likes it... just like an ugly baby to me.

Always loved the Bob Weir model. Almost bought one more than once.

BUT....they weigh a ton, a product of the "heavier guitars sustain better" mentality of the '70's...solid hard northern Ash.

I love the woodgrain on the second one, as well. Unfortunately, that woodgrain is on a tragic guitar shape, IMHO.
