I would like to share some music from my band.

Hey everyone. I am in a 4 piece (mostly) instrumental rock group and we have a few songs with what we think is a decent mix.

Feedback and critisism on the actual music and the mixes is appreciated. We are all amateurs musically and acoustically and I'm hungry for some insight outside of family and friends.

I just realized I haven't properly cut out the silence at the end and beginnings of the tracks. Sorry about that. I don't have time right now to fix it. Hope you still give them a listen!

I listen to "Juice" and thought you guys are very good :thu: really liked the feel of the song

I'll listen to the others later

I listened to Leaky Sink. Over 60 seconds of blank at the beginning is too much! I liked the tune. It reminds me a little bit of Jam bands I've heard, but a little more rough around the edges. Stay together and keep making music! If a singer happens along, you could end up with something along the lines of Widespread Panic. :thu:

I listed to the first two, and liked them. Seems like pretty good recording, too...

Hey, thanks. The recordings were made in a "real recording studio" too. Mixing was up to us though. We still aren't done. If you have any criticism other than the large gaps of silence right now please speak up if you have the time. If you have time to critique the last track please do so as well. It's different from the other two. Very mellow and a heavy post rock influence via Explosions in the Sky.

Either way thanks for taking the time.

If you could define what you mean by rough around the edges that would be great. I'm not sure what you mean by that? The timing and what not. My guitar part is a little out of time. It was stressful in that studio. No excuse though.

I know who Widespread Panic but never really listened to them. We listen to a lot of other jam music though and really do call ourselves a jam band. Good ears on that one. Often times we will get together and pick a vamp chord or a series of progressions and go for it, improving the melodies at counterpoints as we go. If you have time listen to the others. Thanks for the words and especially the time. :cheese:

Hey, I just listened to the 3rd one, too... I liked it. That said, I find it difficult to critique people's music, because I appreciate that it is all unique, and I am no promoter, just a person interested in taking a peek into the mind of another musician... So, I guess if you are in the studio to capture your stuff, you did well... I like the dry, tight recording, and I liked the tunes...
