Aha.....

Actually "hobo uncle sam" was a childhood bedtime story that I shared with our 3 year old daughter here overseas that lasted about 4 years. I did this to teach our daughter English and about the United States. It was a story about a real hobo traveling across America. Hobo shared his delightful adventures and filled our daughter with what America must be like from traveling to the west coast and all the way to the north east coast. "Feeding cracker crumbs to the raccoons at night".

Last year she went to America and attended high school, her senior year. She graduated and made the student honor roll. She now is attending college on an art scholarship and wants to work for Disney in the animation field. She is one heck of a story teller and cartoonist!! "Manga artist".

"hobo uncle sam", well you know who he really is

Thats pretty cool!

My main band, for the past decade or so, is called Crash Pad. A booker/promoter/radio DJ type friend of mine started calling me Brian Crashpad, like Joey Ramone or Aaron Cometbus, or any one of the thousands of punk rockers who've taken their band names or zine names as last names. It is a little quicker than saying "Brian from Crash Pad," so I adopted it too.

My legal last name is Kruger. So I changed the spelling for the stage name to begin with a K. That way, whichever persona I use, I'm still "BK."

Of course, this means that sometimes the band gets called "Krashpad," or "Krash Pad," but it also gets spelled as one word, "Crashpad," which is also incorrect. I'm just glad for any mentions we can get, at this point I could care less about spelling.

Very rockstar Dude00

Plus, you've been in a Fender ad!

Well, it's obvious to guitar folks, and rock music people what it's for.

Pete Townshend always fascinated me as a character more than a musician.

But when I was a kid and saw Tommy for the first time it really hooked me on Daltry and Townshend as ecclectic rockers, far too intellectual and "smart" to be Rockstars.

So, it's one of my favorite songs' from growing up. My dad was a huge Who fan, among other groups but I always liked the "boww-dunnunt-dunt" riff....

Oh, and the line "....come....and...join...the parttty, dressed....to killlll..."

I had almost forgotten about it over the years, as it meshed in with all the other musical styles I listened to. Then when I moved to Dallas in 2002, I met my GF, who's now my wife, we went to a platinum box at the AAC to see the Mavericks play the Spurs in the playoffs and they play it as the intro music for the player introductions.

So, long story short (i know, too late.) I started using it for my screenname on online shops, message boards, IM apps, etc.

Maybe tomorrow I will.

Just got notified my daughter (15) wants to go to an early all-ages show at my fave local venue (same place I played last week). So we're both going to a rock show together.

THIS should be interesting!
