Just revisited the sometimes posted version of Under Pressure she did with David Bowiel
And she toured with him for years. Just wow...what a voice, and obviously a killer bass player - she wouldn't have played with him for several years if she wasn't.



Leads me to think, what other incredibly talented people (that most people have no idea who they are) can you recall doing a similar job?

Pretty much any Bowie personnel at any point throughout his career.

Gerry Leonard played for Bowie during the Reality era and he's been Suzanne Vega's accompanist for years. He's not a dazzler or a shredder. He's a phenomenal player who brings taste, texture, and color to whatever he's doing.

Hershel Yatovitz is similar. Fantastic player who stays in the pocket and makes a song work.

Eric Bazilian with his stint with Joan Osborne.

Tony Levin with Peter Gabriel is a legend with us, but not to the average Joe.

Killer bass player, and killer vocalist as well. Allegedly she's a killer guitar player too but switched to bass early on because it was easier to get the gigs that way.
