Deebo Memorial Trick or Treat Thread

Let’s Get Obtuse!
What goodies are you distributing today? We’ve got Oreos and a Sour Patch/Swedish Fish variety mix.

Squirrels seem to think it’s free gourd day, and they can get fucked. Wait one day, rodents.

My husband bought multiple huge bags of mixed candy and dumped half of it into a big mixing bowl. I saved myself a few mini 3 Musketeers but the rest is going to the little bastards running around the neighborhood. We will probably get ten kids the whole night and all the rest will go in the trash tomorrow morning.

We bought three different boxes of the minis and Mrs DCF made up snack baggies full of them.
4 or 5 pieces per bag. So, yeah. A nickel bag…

We had the most trick or treaters since we moved here 22 years ago.
About 37 in total.

Snickers and a backup of Hershey's, in case anybody has a nut allergy. It was a slow year, not may trick or treaters.

About an hour in, I had to top off the bucket... but this was the best I've ever guessed the number of candy bars. Started with just over 100 candy bars and a bag of little boxes of nerds. I still had the 4 Snickers, 2 Special Dark and 4 Reeses that I set aside for me and my wife (but would have put in the bucket if needed), but only had a handful of Nerds by the end of the night. :baimun:

That looks a lot like our bowl last night. We typically only get a few groups of neighborhood kids, so a few boxes of full-size covers it. We overestimated this year and have too many bars left over.

Cleverest costume of the night for me was a kid dressed as Jake from State Farm.

There was a dad with two kids and the girl was dressed as a Bee... but I said "You're too young to know No Rain by Blind Melon..." the dad laughed and said that he made the exact same comment to her earlier. So here this poor girl is completely confused while two old farts laugh over the same dad joke.

ghost toast kitkats & various reeses shaped things

the weather wasnt great but we had the best turn out of kids since moving to this house.

We gave out some Gummy Lifesaver flavored Snicker & Milky Way bars. Actually, everything in that damn bag tasted like Gummy Lifesavers. We did the bowl on the porch deal because we took our kid Trick or treating. *See picture at bottom.

We bought 3 big bags of candy last week. I had to rustle up a 4th bag yesterday, because we had eaten 1.75 bags of candy before the big H.

Also, in honor of the 'Deebo Memorial Trick or Treat Thread', we put out some Tina Burritos in a bowl on the front porch.

Chip off the old block:

We used to live in a neighborhood where I swear they bussed kids in... Now we live semi-rural and No trick er treaters... not disapointed.

We don’t get trick-or-treaters. So, no candy was needed here.

At my friend’s home, he gave out a variety. There were so many trick-or-treaters that they completely cleaned him out.
