The Mustang unexpectedly came in through the side door of Kramm’s life in 2010 when the last thing she was thinking about was buying a car built long before she was born. She had plenty of doubts at the time, but 12 years later, she’s liking her decision more every day.

I love those. We had the regular top when I was 6 and 7,with the 289. Redish orange, tan seats with the horses molded in the seats. It had a clutch but I don’t remember if it had a 3 or 4 speed in the floor. My brother wrecked it on black ice one night and my dad said it never drove right after it was aligned.

It needs something, stripes? bigger stripe at bottom? This one has a deeper red and that helps a lot.

one of my friends had one in blue. it was a little bit of a beater at the time but still a sweet car
a captain i worked for (OV-10 driver) had a '65 GT, K code 289, in a light blue (like this one) that was a sweet little ride.

This dudes ride lived a full life before it came into his hands. It had been fully repainted in something similar to a medium blue 80s Chevy color (probably collision related based on the wonky panel gaps and doors), knock off cragars, pep boys steering wheel & engine bay chrome package. Mechanically it wasn’t in bad shape, just tired. Before I lost touch with him, he managed to crush the passenger side from the rear third of the door to the bumper.

No matter what car maker you prefer, the fastback Mustangs of that era are some of the most gorgeous cars ever built.

i remember watching that show.
i kinda think they were going for the "bullitt" look
I don't think I've seen a whole episode. I needed a P.I. break after Barnaby Jones and Rockford Files. I remember the car because a high school friend had a similar car. Same color.

My mom had a white 66 Mustang... just the regular hardtop though, not the GT fastback.

But that was back in the days when people would just buy a brand new car every couple of years. (Maybe some people still do that.) By the time I was old enough to drive, the Mustang was long gone.

of course it was.

when i turned 16, my dad had (besides his regular car) a 1971 Datsun 240Z. and i did get to drive it, a lot more than one might think.
but it didn't take very long before it was gone and i got to drive the station wagon
