Bourbon or Scotch...one libation to rule Weinworld

Bourbon by a large margin. I'll take an 18 year old (or older) MacAllan if forced to drink Scotch, and will even enjoy it, but there are so damned many fine Bourbons that I would prefer, largely because they don't taste like smoked dirt.

There's nothing to fight about. If the whiskey is good it doesn't matter where it's from.

I enjoy both, but Scotch wins for me (if I'm forced to choose). Thankfully, in real life there is room for both).

I prefer Scotch, but I like bourbon too.

This applies to me also.

I would still like to mix in a bourbon now and then, but the Mrs. has an anti-bourbon bias so if I'm going to bring a bottle of something home it's going to be scotch.

I'm a bourbon guy but that's partially because I can't really afford a good exploration of the better scotches.

There's a pretty active sample trading community over on reddit that I might get involved in....it looks like a great opportunity to try a bunch of different expressions with out a major investment.

I've tried, several times, to get into scotch. I just don't like it.
Bourbon all the way.

This made me laugh because it's pretty dead on. The reason I can only drink the really expensive scotches is because as you pay more, the less like smoked dirt they taste.
