Weren't they popular for a quick minute? What did ya'all think of Cry Of Love? Their song Peace Pipe got a lot of airplay on the classic rock stations here.

And then guitarist Freed played with Black Crowes, didnt he?
 
I think that their debut release was one of the strongest that I have ever heard. Freed's playing is great too. They changed vocalists for the second album but the guy who got the gig did sound very similar. YES, Freed is a Black Crowes guy.
 
I saw them play the Chance in Poughkeepsie when they were supporting their debut album. They had a SRV tribute band open. Audley is a devastatingly excellent but wickedly underrated guitarist, not unlike David Grissom.

I really wish I'd gone to one of the Black Crowes & Jimmy Page shows back in the day. Somehow I missed them when they were happening, but the live release of that band was better than any official Zeppelin live release. There are some killer Zep bootlegs, but the official live releases are mediocre to me.
