Question: Anyone have a looper pedal?

I have an RC-50. Went through a phase of recording vids with it, but I've kinda fallen out of love with it.

I messed with a few loopers in the past. They aren't something I personally have a use for. The looper function in my HD 500 is just another source of aggravation to me because you can't disable it, and I have accidentally triggered it several times and spent the next 5 minutes trying to figure out how to kill the damned thing. I think I will spend a little more time with the manual tonight. Maybe it will offer me some insight into how to quickly shut it off.

You sure have a serious love/hate relationship with that thing.

That's a fact!

It's an amazing piece of gear. It is also the single most frustrating piece of gear I have ever owned or used. I pride myself on being tech savy, I'm an OG Nerd and have never been stymied by an electronic device. I can run just about anything, including all of the major DAWs even though some of them are also ludicrously complex. But, they all follow a pattern. This thing pretty much created its own set of rules and for someone like me who's both ADD and moderately OCD, THAT is not a good thing.

Now that I finally know the method to the madness, I'm far less annoyed by it. I had a blast with it today. It did exactly what I intended it to do. The results were satisfying.

I use a Jam Man Stereo with SD card to do solo improve gigs.
Have gone 4 hours in an evening with this pedal.....
Love it... Nothing like building/creating entire songs on the fly...
