Post em if you've got em..

That white one is a beauty.

I have often been tempted to get a Carvin do-it-yourself HSS kit.

Maybe someday. When i do, i'll finish it in white. :thu:

I often wish I'd gotten the blue one in white instead. Saw one on Ebay recently and it was beautiful. Love the blue, but I want a white one too.. Won't get another CT though. My next Carvin will be either the SH or an ST, and it'll be white.

BTW, I work in Escondido, where Carvin's plant was for many years. I think they just moved a few miles away though, Rancho Bernardo or something. I should look into a tour. :thu:

Yeap, I read that too. I'm wondering how the future Carvin guitars will be affected. I expect a tribute model soon, maybe some sort of reissue thing.

I live in TN, so I'll probably never get the chance to tour them. Would love too though. I did get to go visit Gibson over in Nashville though :thu:

Wow, Gibson would be great. If i get a chance to go, i'll take lots of pics and post them.

Fender's factory isnt far, up in Corona, maybe 25 miles or so from me. And Taylor is in San Diego somewhere. I keep talking about going to one of them to look around, but never seem to actually get off my ass and do it.

I'll make it a point to get it done this year.

All I got to see at Gibson was the showcase (monster retail store of the finest Gibsons you'll EVER hold.) and some banjo building. It was cool, but not a real "tour" or anything.. Their acoustic wall was pure bliss..

too bad you weren't there the day the FBI raided them....now THAT would be a story

I really think that raid has been overblown. From what I've read, Gibson was duped. You'd think they, being experienced in wood identification and all that, would have realized what they were getting. But I don't think they did anything wrong. I could be mistaken, but everything I've read makes it sound like the middle man was the one running the scam and Gibson was just buying lumber. Sure would like to have one of the affected serial numbers though!

I really don't know much more than what I've read on this one....time will tell I guess.

It would be rad to say you were there that day, though....

I've thought about one many times, but having never played one, I never take the risk.

Of course, I'm also a PRS whore.

I played a used one for just a little bit and wasn't digging it. It was the SC90 IIRC and on top of not digging the feel it was UGLY. :embarrassed:

I do stop by a look at those CT's every once and awhile though. It's mighty tempting.

Play one, you might break that PRS habit.. Or at least you migth have another habit to go along with it.

I very much want to play one, have just not had the chance. That blue CT of yours calls to me...well, except for the Floyd, but that could be remedied were I to order one .

I agree that the SC model is ugly. It's like a bad tele/Les Paul. The TL or the CS are much better.
