AC/DC drummer Phil Rudd gets charged with attempting to procure a murder

Dang :(

I hope it isn't true. But if it is, he should start a band with Tim Lambesis

You would think with AC/DC kind of money, he would be fully capable of just moving to the other side of the planet from the person he wanted to kill.
....Funny analogy...

And oddly enough I was about to post a thread asking when they should call it quits...

New spin.....

I'll carry on anyway as if ...

I think at their level, the answer as to when to quit is when it isn't fun anymore. I imagine they continue to record and play shows because they enjoy doing it, rather than making more money or expanding their 'brand'. I suppose the loss of 'fun' could include health issues, loss of creative juices, creative differences, etc.

Well ya...But still...Ya gotta wonder..

Would you still want to go out there without your brother that you began the band with??

I don't think I would....

Anyway...Who are we?

God Bless ACDC for what they gave us...

When I saw AC/DC back on their Flick Of The Switch tour, they had some bald drummer, who I've seen in at least one other band. But I can't for the life of me remember who it was. Any one know that guys name?

Indeed. They gave me a lot over the years. Heck, they are one of the reasons I wanted a guitar in the first place.

If it were me, I would probably stop without Malcolm being a part of the band. He is the AC/DC sound to me, more than any other single band member. Losing him would be the end, and the family side of things would make that even more clear. Just my 2 cents. I don't know the inside story. Hell, they may have promised to carry on to Malcolm.

I like AC/DC, but those don't seem to be too big of "drummer shoes" to fill. Those of you that are drummers are free to correct me. :embarrassed:

Well...yes That's true....Tom Petty says that if he ever loses Mike Campbell or Benmont Tench....it will be the end...

I think losing Malcolm is big....Or it should be........

One never knows for sure...They could have had a pact with Malcolm to carry on with Malcolms nephew to give him the rush too...Who knows...

Just looked it up myself.

According to various web sites, they hired Simon Wright for the Flick Of The Switch tour. Chris Slade didn't start working for AC/DC 'til 1989, so I may be mis-remembering in my old age :old:

I still think the guy was bald though, and I do remember me and my friends commenting on that we'd seen the guy before, but couldn't remember where idn_smilie
