Voyager 1 $269 with no headrest

$60 for a bolt on head rest

Voyager 2 has a taller, more contoured back and built in (but detachable) headrest for $399.

It looks cool. But I’ve been through enough office chairs over the years to know that a $269 chair probably won’t last more than five years. I wish Herman Miller or Knoll would do a guitar chair.

You still ain't gonna practice...lolololololl

Honestly, I'm trying to get back into at least an hour a night, but I typically practice standing up so songs are more intuitive when playing live.... it's more when reprogramming shit that's hard on these old bones. Knelt down on the carpet to adjust settings on the Kemper versus plugging into my computer and putting it up on the desk. :helper:

I usually practice standing up too. But I do guitar/bass tracking sitting down so I'm right next to the mouse and faderport.

I bought an office chair for guitar playing. It's breathable mesh-type material. The armrests fold back into the backrest of the chair. It's a very comfortable and durable design, but I'm not entirely satisfied using it for playing guitar.

The mesh material feels prickly along the edges against my legs if I wear shorts. And, the rotation part of the arm rests sticks forward enough from the back of the backrest that it can touch the back of the guitars. I sit slightly forward and to the side, so that the part of the chair that sticks out does not come into contact with the back of guitars. I may end up wrapping the part of the chair that sticks out with foam to protect the backs of the guitars.

It does seem like I should probably just get a different chair. Maybe the Voyager 1 would be better for me.

I know it's a novel idea, but I got a chair from IKEA about 10 years ago without arm rests. For about 50 bucks. Still use it daily and it holds up.

A friend of mine bought a drum throne(?) for use as a guitar/desk chair. It's one with a back, Pearl D-3500BR and he loves it. He's on the tall side and finding something that was comfortable for him was a bit of a challenge. As this is adjustable it's worked well for him. It's a bit pricey though but he found one on sale so

You’re not supposed to wear shorts when you play guitar.
