I remember him from the HC days. He used to post some of his sketches and prototypes.

Not my bag, but I am happy for him he managed to get into the business of building

Was he bullied out of these forums like Doug Kauer was by certain insecure wanker manchildren? Or did he simply just disappear or decide that he’d be more at home at TGP or somewhere like that?

Don't know - but he still posts at TDPRI.
 
I like it.

The port holes are a bit too Buick-y for my tastes, but I could live with them.
That Black/Teal one is even better.
 
That's pretty neat, though it wouldn't be my first choice for a Backlund.

(But I only vaguely remember the guy being on HC, even though I started back in the hypernews days. If he was driven away, it wasn't my doing!)

I think he gave up on HC when the rest of us did. I have no idea if he’s still online somewhere. IIRC he doesn’t actually play guitar, so he might have gone back to focusing on his industrial design work.
