5 sets of tires, 4 windshields, 29 oil changes. All scheduled maintenance by yours truly. Original clutch (95% highway). Bone stock and one recent issue, a code P0171 that I haven’t found yet. No other issues. It’s been a really good car, you just have to realize it’s a cheap, affordable vehicle that can’t be beat on and neglected.
Can’t believe it’s been almost ten years when I drove it home with 6 miles on the clock.
Oh and it’s retired from the daily driver duty because I’m retired too!

some of those little Fords are really good reliable cars. i had a 1996 Ford Aspire that i drove until 2012. it still ran and was in good shape, but it was time to move up. i think it had something like 145,000 miles on it.
the worse problems it had were some wheel bearings and old mushy struts, which weren't that big a deal.

Sometimes, you get lucky. Luck even happens with the occasional Ford.

Our 2022 Ford Bronco Sport already has 2 recalls. We might not reach that 200K mark.

Congrats, on beating the odds! :thu:

The 1st gen Taco in the background needs a head gasket. Hopefully I’ll be getting it back on the road soon !

How many miles is that at?

I'm at 250,000 but I really only use it for doing truck stuff so I'm not racking up a ton of miles each year.

It’s just under 200k (3RZFE). I’ve watched a few videos on it and it looks like pulling the cylinder head is almost as difficult as pulling the entire engine. And if you go that far, why not rebuild the whole thing lol.
