Wow! That was fantastic! Beautifully constructed composition, lovely playing and touch, and that tone was just spot-on. I'm really loving the sound of that Gretsch, it's just perfect for that tune; such a clear, full-bodied twang. You must be very happy with it, right? it's exactly right for rockabilly and retro instro stuff.
Listening again, those Dynasonics sound so, so good. I don't know about you, but can you hear the 'air' in the hollowbody? I know Jim Lill would catch me out in a blind test and prove 'you can't hear a difference', but damnit! I think I do hear a difference!
Thanks! I'm using a stereo plugin in sync (DAW set to 4/4). On the left I use 1/8 for the left side and 1/16 for the right/middle, and then the other way around on the right, so you get the shorter ones in the middle just to fatten things up a bit and the longer ones thrown out in the sides. The lead parts are panned about 1/3 and the rhythm parts about 2/3.that sounds so great! really dig the tune and the tone! what are the slapback settings? i can never get it dialed in quite right...
