I've been a big fan for about 6 years. One of the best pop rock bands going.
Never saw them live though, I'll have to check their schedule.
More garagey but you might dig the Allah-Las
Absolutely Horrible. RIP
In a strange coincidence I was watching Spinal Tap 2 yesterday...
Unfortunately it's pretty meh. Of course it had an impossible fore-bearer to live up to, but even then it clearly needed a lot more effort put into it.
Though it works as an aging rock band reuniting...
Thanks for the advice guys. I relayed the info. He's going to try it in a hardshell case with extra internal padding, and hope he doesn't have to check it....
Major bummer, big fan and influence.
If you haven't seen the Stax doc, I strongly recommend it. Steve is featured heavily, and it's a fascinating story (with amazing music of course).

The gator thread reminded of this situation.
Somebody I know has to fly very soon with an acoustic. 3 hours flight on south west, it's just one way. And they were asking me if their normal hard shell acoustic case would be ok for one flight...
If you have a drummer who can reasonably keep decent time on his own and don't need it for backing tracks or lighting like micwalt said, I really don't see the point. Just one more thing to complicate matters.
