I swear I let him play the Strat first

The one mini they didn’t have was the Jazzmaster. Guy brings out a $400 blue Squier one and I was like “it’s too big, but sell it to me for the mini price and I’ll take both  “ He was not amused.
Was it one of these? I can't put this fucking thing down. It plays stupidly nice. I think the other Classic Vibe neck I've got will play just as nice once I get it dialed in.

No it was a Daphne blue Jazzmaster.

I’m doing my best to let him make his own choices. If he ends up playing Jimmy Buffett covers on a Strat with a tube screamer, then good for him. If anything, that would be the ultimate rock n roll rebellion. :embarrassed:

Gold hardware and a middle pickup way up high?

The black Ibanez was actually the best playing of the bunch.
Yep. All that matters.

When we took the boy, he tried everything. This thing I’d never heard of was the best by far. Has a killer fingerboard, nice frets, great neck carve, and decent action. He doesn’t care about the other stuff yet...at least when it comes to guitars.

Wasn't Mitchell the GC brand guitars awhile back? Seems like every time I walked into a GC there were tons of Mitchell guitars everywhere. Then one day, nothing. They went to some other brand, like Brawely or some such.

Mitchell is still around. There are some new ones with different colors. I can vouch for them, as I saw some yesterday while waiting to complete a purchase...

He broke a D string and freaked out he broke the guitar. This seems like the perfect opportunity to burn through all my extra loose strings.
